New York's 51st Annual Village Halloween Parade Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 7 pm
New York's Village Halloween Parade is an annual holiday parade on the night of Halloween in Greenwich Village. It is a wildly creative public participatory event. The 2024 Parade theme is Meow!
The Parade starts at Canal St. and 6th Avenue and goes up 6th Avenue to 15th Street on 6th Avenue.

Join Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy for Big Halloween Get Down with Sounds from Herbert Holler and hosted by Savior Elmundo! This is a free, all-ages dance party at Pier 3 Plaza. Bring your good vibes and your best moves! Doors open at 6:00 PM and the dance party starts at 7:00 PM. RSVP so we know you’re coming! Costumes encouraged.
This is an all-ages event, but youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Halloween on the Harlem Meer: Pumpkin Flotilla
Celebrate Halloween in Central Park with a family-friendly event full of magic, entertainment, and music, featuring our signature great pumpkin flotilla.
Drop off your carved pumpkin with us and head to the picnic area by the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center, 110th Street (Central Park North) between Lenox Avenue and Fifth Avenue, to listen to not-so-spooky stories, enjoy a hair-raising magic show, and adorn your own trick-or-treating bag with Central Park–themed decorations.

Then, find a spot along the edge of the Harlem Meer, dance to some festive tunes (courtesy of our DJ), and watch the jack-o’-lanterns float by. It’s New York’s largest pumpkin flotilla—and it’s not to be missed!
These events are FREE and open to all ages. There are no tickets, but please RSVP to let us know you're coming.

Camp Canine Doggy Trick or Treat and Halloween Dog Parade
Camp Canine presents the Third Annual Trick or Treat Night for Dogs: An Upper West Side Event!
Follow the Trick or Treat Map of all 30+ pawticipating businesses between 4-7pm on Sunday, Oct 27th with your pup in costume and collect yummy treats for them – no tricks necessary!
Start your evening at one of our key locations: Camp Canine, The Pet Market, Westside Veterinary Center or Bond Vet. Here, you can pick up your complimentary trick or treat bag to help you collect your pup’s treats! (Bags available while supplies last.) Each of these key locations will have a special and unique Halloween experience for you and your pup, so bring your camera!
Take to the streets, Columbus Avenue will be shut down from 67th-77th street. There you’ll see:

Costume contest and Doggy Howloween Pawrade hosted by Columbus Ave Bid, New York Dog Parade and Camp Canine between 72nd and 73rd. Emceed by Miss Indie Lusion. All pawticipants can march in the pawrade, and a special few pups in extra-spectacular Howloween costumes will receive a “golden ticket” inviting them to show off at the costume contest (starting at 6pm.) The Grand Prize winner of that contest will take home $500 cash.
Washington Market Park Halloween Parade
This long-standing Tribeca tradition brings the entire neighborhood together and is led by the incomparable The Queer Big Apple Corps! Wear your favorite costume and join the parade down Greenwich Street.
The parade will queue at Greenwich Street and Hubert Street starting at approximately 12:45pm.
The procession will begin at 1pm, culminating in our BOOtifully decorated park.

Seaport Kids x Halloween Block Party
Pumpkins. Tricks. And plenty of treats. Save the date for Seaport Kids x Halloween Block Party, in partnership with Mommy Poppins and Brooklyn Bridge Parents.
From 3pm to 5pm on Saturday, October 26, the cobblestones and Seaport Square will transform into a Halloween-themed block party for kids. Enjoy a live music performance from urban cowboy musician Hopalong Andrew from 4:00-4:45pm, as well as pumpkin-painting, face-painting, halloween crafts activities and, of course, a celebration of attendees’ fabulous costumes. Guests are encouraged to wear costumes (both themselves and their doggos) for a chance to win a prize. We will choose two (2) winners - 1 dog winner and 1 human winner. Each winner will receive a Tin Building gift card.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! Head on over to Seaport Square for a seasonal spooky activation by Dunkin, featuring special treats for both adults and their four-legged companions.
39th Annual Bronx Halloween Parade
The 39th Annual Bronx Halloween Parade promises a ghoulishly good time for all ages. The theme this year is “Zombie Apocalypse,” so embrace the undead and join the fun!
After the parade, head over to Bill Rainey Park for an artist showcase featuring celebrities and influencers, elected officials, talented artists, marching bands, and thrilling costume contests with cash prizes. Distribution of candy and treats for a sweet finish to your spooky day.

Socrates Sculpture Park’s Halloween Harvest Festival is back with family-friendly workshops, a community resource fair, as well as New York’s second largest dog costume contest co-presented with Chateau le Woof.

26th Annual Great PUPkin Dog Costume Contest
In the 26th year at Fort Greene Park, and presented by Fort Greene PUPS, the Great PUPkin is Brooklyn's largest and most outrageous dog costume contest. Scads of dogs enter and ruthlessly compete for the coveted Great PUPkin rosettes for the top pups!
The PUPkin is FREE to attend - registration is ONLY required if your dog is competing in the contest!

Halloween at the Seaport Museum

HalloWeekend Neighborhood Celebration
October 26 | 11am–5pm | Free General Admission
Get ready for all treats and no tricks as the Seaport Museum comes alive with Halloween fun! From 11am to 5pm on Saturday, enjoy free General Admission to the Museum, which will be packed with festive activities for all ages.
Throughout the day take part in the sailors’ superstitions spooky scavenger hunt throughout the 1885 tall ship Wavertree, and try your hand at pumpkin or gourd decorating inspired by maritime scrimshaw techniques, while supplies last. You can even BYOP––bring your own pumpkin––to decorate if you have a special pumpkin in mind! And, from 2pm to 4pm, venture into the captain’s saloon for a tarot card reading. Readings are first come, first served.
Don’t miss out on this frightfully fun day! While we encourage pre-registration, we warmly welcome walkups to join in the Halloween fun.
HalloWeekend Aboard Wavertree
October 27 | 11am–5pm | Pay What You Wish General Admission
The Halloween fun continues on Sunday from 11am to 5pm with Pay What You Wish General Admission to the Seaport Museum!
Step aboard Wavertree for a spooky scavenger hunt through sailors’ superstitions and descend into the cargo hold to experience a Halloween-inspired soundscape that adds a seasonal touch to the ship’s expansive interior.
Continue the haunting creativity with Halloween paper chain decorations and card-making activities. Try your hand at the October Sailors Scrimshaw family activity using recycled plastic, or bring your own pumpkin to carve to add a spooky, maritime twist to a traditional jack o’lantern.
Trick-or-Treating

On Thursday for Halloween evening, stop by the introduction galleries at 12 Fulton Street and Bowne & Co. Stationers at 211 Water Street to show off your costume and get your treats!
From 11am to 5pm, the Museum will be open for you to enjoy Pay What You Wish General Admission and continue the Halloween fun with the October Sailors Scrimshaw activity, paper chain making, and card crafting. Feel free to bring your own pumpkin for more festive fun! All Museum spaces and Bowne & Co. will close at 5pm with trick-or-treating continuing outside at the entrance.
Washington Square Park Dog Halloween
The cutest Halloween event in NYC is back and better than ever! Join us this year on October 26th for Washington Square Park Dog Halloween.
For the first time ever, registration is fully free!
Contest registration opens on-site the day of the event at 9am. First-come-first-served while supplies last.
Govenors Island Pumpkin Point 2024
Pumpkin Point, Governors Island’s annual pumpkin patch and fall festival, returns to Nolan Park for 2024! Visitors are invited to pick out their own pumpkins (free with suggested donation) October 26 & 27, 2024, from 10am to 5pm. Please limit pumpkins to one per person per household.
Costumes are encouraged, with trick-or-treating at Nolan Park’s historic houses on both days. Governors Island food vendors will be on-site with fall-themed food and drink available for purchase.
Pumpkin Point is rain or shine. Please be advised, a large number of visitors is expected for Pumpkin Point, so leave extra time to board and ride the ferry. Click here for ferry schedules and tickets. Pumpkins left over from Pumpkin Point will be composted on Governors Island by Earth Matter, which runs a Compost Learning Center at the Urban Farm on Governors Island.
Asphalt Screams
Asphalt Screams is our annual, free Halloween festival that brings together families from all over New York City for an afternoon of ghostly delights, family-friendly frights, and unforgettable memories.
Open to all, Asphalt Screams offers New Yorkers of ages and abilities the opportunity to get in costume, get active, and get in the spirit through activites, entertainment, and goodies.
For the first time, Asphalt Screams 2024 will offer a sensory-friendly experience for families and individuals who require a quieter and more controlled environment during the first hour of the event. This inclusive session features exciting activities like parachute play and a sensory-friendly bounce castle, all set to festive Halloween music played at a lower volume. With limited capacity and RSVP required, attendees can enjoy a fun, stress-free Halloween celebration tailored to their needs.
